Meet Callie!
Callie B. Dean is a writer, researcher, and musician. She uses words, numbers, and pictures to tell stories that spark curiosity and encourage kids to explore their world.
For as long as she can remember, Callie has wanted to become an author. But it wasn’t until she started a musical story-time program at her local library that she began paying attention to (and eventually writing!) children’s books.
Callie is a member of SCBWI, Exhale Creativity, and the STEM Tuesday team at From The Mixed Up Files blog. She has also written STEM curriculum materials for organizations like Palo Alto Networks and the Girl Scouts of the USA.
Outside of writing, Callie enjoys running, hiking, baking, and playing board games. She lives in Shreveport, LA, with her husband, three sons, and their rescue pup.
